Bonito – If you’ve ever wanted an instagrammable drink that actually tastes delicious too Bonito is your place. Each drink has their own special presentation, my favorite being the Sex in the Bath that even comes with a little rubber ducky. And just like their drinks, their food is just as amazing. Bonito is great if you want really great food and it also has a great atmosphere. I usually hit this place up during the week because the other restaurants like Bagatelle and Le Ti are really fun on the weekends. If you want to continue your night after dinner, Skybar is right below and perfect for after dinner drinks.
Le Select – This is a great bar in the town of Gustavia if you want to just grab a beer, preferably a Carib. It’s very low key with delicious French fries and burgers. If there is a soccer, or should I say football, game on I highly recommend watching it here.
Le Ti – hidden away from the rest of the restaurants Le Ti is a must. Dancers provide you with burlesque entertainment throughout your meal and eventually the whole restaurant turns in to one big party.
Cheval Blanc – If you want a more relaxed but very pretty lunch be sure to check out Cheval Blanc. It is still lively with a DJ and truly picturesque.
Bagatelle –You’ve never seen bottle service until you’ve gone to Bagatelle. With Magnum bottles or if you feel like ordering 6 personal bottles, your bottle will get the grand entrance it deserves. Whether it’s Superman flying through the crowd with your bottle or having it being rode in on a motorcycle it’s sure to be a show. Be sure to order the truffle pizza before you quickly end up on the table dancing.
Nikki Beach – There’s no party like a Nikki Beach Sunday day party. They go above and beyond for the theme of the week with decorations everywhere. Start off with a sushi boat and some rosé and before you know it you’ll be table dancing with the saxophone player. Although it is still pretty fun on Friday’s and Saturday’s if you’re going all the way to St. Barth you won’t want to miss the Sunday party.
Dress: A.L.C.I had the honor of attending two fashion week events with Vogue this past weekend. The first was the opening of Saks Fifth Avenue Downtown, which I must say I was blown away. The store is huge and has several great pieces for the fall, I couldn’t resist the Alice and Olivia jacket. I ended the night by going to Pasquale Jones for dinner in Nolita. The food was amazing, I highly recommend trying the rigatoni. The next night was an event at Spring Place which was also home to some of the runway shows. The mini prosecco bottles with straws was such a cute idea for a cocktail party!
This past weekend was my first weekend back in Chicago for the year. It was great catching up with everyone and meeting up with some old friends that just moved to Chicago. I love hearing from friends where they go out in cities since online reviews aren’t always accurate and people have different tastes in what they like. I’m now going to included places in go in the cities in my outfits so if you think you have the same taste as me you can get an idea of where to go from someone similar to you. If you have any questions feel free to comment!
I started my weekend in the West Loop which is the new trendy area. I met some of my college friends at Lone Wolf. It was a nice little bar where you can actually talk to people but still have fun. We then headed over to Federales. It has a great patio that’s fun while the weather is still nice out, but the inside is just as great.
The next night I had dinner at MAD Social. The food was incredible! All the dishes were very interesting, my favorite being the chicken and churro waffles. I spent most of my weekend in the West Loop but ended Saturday night a little closer to me at Stout. I love this bar because it’s sort of like a hybrid of a bar and a club and the music is always great!
While exploring NYC I came across this new little sandwich shop called BEC (Bacon Egg and Cheese). Not only were the ingredients everything I would have wanted for breakfast, the brioche bun is comes on has bacon bits on it!! Highly recommend this place for all the breakfast lovers out there.
Last week was very special since it was my mom’s birthday!! We had a cute little brunch at our house and obviously had to go all out for dessert with this Studio 54 themed cake. Not only did it look beautiful but this red velvet and coconut cake tasted just as good. My favorite dish (besides the cake) was the gravlax on a sweet potato pancake with lemon mustard crème fraiche. Here is a similar recipe that I found online for you to try at home.
